Sonora .- Hermosillo es una de las cinco ciudades de México preseleccionadas para ser parte del Programa de Fondo de Prosperidad, cuya presentación de convocatoria fue realizada en CDMX.
Ahí la presidente municipal Célida López Cárdenas mantuvo reuniones con la embajadora británica Colin Robertson, quien le dio a conocer que la embajada busca en este programa fomentar soluciones de movilidad sustentable para que las ciudades sean más seguras e inclusivas.
Para el municipio el haber sido seleccionado entre las cinco es una gran responsabilidad y un gran reto, según dio a conocer la alcaldesa, y reforzará los temas de movilidad sustentable, equidad de género y abatimiento de la pobreza.
El municipio ha mantenido colaboración con organizaciones internacionales como el BID y la agencia alemana GIZ, lo que la ha colocado entre los lugares cuyas autoridades se mantienen interesados en la sustentabilidad.
Otras ciudades que fueron preseleccionadas son: CDMX, Monterrey, Querétaro y Guadalajara.
