Agencias .- La Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) lanzó este miércoles una exhortación para evitar que el pánico se extienda por el coronavirus y pidió 675 millones de dólares para financiar su plan de lucha, que incluye ayudar a los países menos preparados para afrontar el virus si éste llega a sus territorios.
“No es el momento de propagar el miedo o el pánico, es momento de mirar hacia adelante y actuar”, declaró el director general de la OMS, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, en una comparecencia ante la prensa.
Recordó que el 99 % de casos se mantienen confinados a China y, de estos, más del 80 % se han registrado en la provincia de Hubei, el epicentro de la epidemia.
