Praga .- Una joven con muerte cerebral conectada a un equipo de soporte vital dio a luz a una niña, dijo el martes una clínica en República Checa.
El Hospital Universidad en Brno, la segunda ciudad más grande del país, dijo que la bebé pesó 2,1 kilogramos (4,6 libras) y nació por cesárea.
El parto fue a las 34 semanas de embarazo, después de que la mujer de 27 añosestuvo conectada a soporte vital durante tres meses.
El nosocomio no dio detalles de la salud de la niña, pero una televisora pública checa dio que la bebé, quien nació este mes, está con su padre.
La joven fue declarada con muerte cerebral a principios de junio, tras sufrir una hemorragia cerebral unas semanas después de quedar embarazada. Por ese entonces, el hospital dijo que los doctores la conectarían a soporte vital para mantenerla viva hasta que el bebé se desarrollara lo suficiente como para nacer.
