Agencias .- Los gobiernos de México y Guatemala desplegaron una serie de acciones para atender a los migrantes centroamericanos que llegaron este fin de semana a Tecún Umán, Guatemala.
La Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE) informó que con el acompañamiento de organismos internacionales y sociedad civil, “como medida inmediata se busca garantizar el respeto a la dignidad humana de los migrantes, procurándoles alojamiento, alimentación y atención médica en albergues, campamentos e iglesias de Tecún Umán.
El Consulado de México en Tecún Umán transmitió que el Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM) ha brindado medidas de acompañamiento e información a estas personas, explicando la legislación mexicana y los riesgos de la migración irregular, así como de exponerse a los traficantes de personas.
“Informó sobre los programas Sembrando Vida y Jóvenes Construyendo Futuro, que la Agencia Mexicana de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AMEXCID) ofrece a las personas migrantes en El Salvador y Honduras”.
