México .- El presidente mexicano, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, dijo el martes que negociadores de México, Estados Unidos y Canadá firmarán el nuevo tratado comercial de América del Norte T-MEC, aunque aún falta el aval de legisladores.
El mandatario dijo que acudirían a Palacio Nacional, en la capital mexicana, representantes de los tres países para realizar la firma del tratado.
“Se firmaría por parte de los ejecutivos, de los negociadores de los tres países (…) Aceptaron que se firme aquí en México”, dijo el mandatario en su habitual conferencia de prensa matutina.
López Obrador también dijo que el acuerdo se había logrado luego de que se negociaron cambios solicitados por demócratas estadunidenses sobre temas laborales, además de algunos relativos al acero y aluminio.
Además dijo que “es muy probable” que se comunique hoy por vía telefónica con primer ministro de Canadá, Justin Trudeau.
